This fragment has been shown to induce lipolysis, or fat breakdown, and even inhibits lipogenesis, which is the conversion of food materials into fat stored in the body. Studies have shown that this happens to both humans and animals. This short chain of amino acids that makes up fragment 176 is only about 10% the length of the entire strand of growth hormone and does not appear to have any of the other usual positive or negative effects that growth hormone does such as actual tissue growth or insulin resistance.
