Hareline Coq de Leon

$10.8 $14.47
Description Coq de Leon Roosters are renowned throughout the world for their excellent tailing characteristics of a naturally stiff yet supple fiber. Many synthetic materials are too stiff and will puncture the surface film causing the dry fly to sink. The Hareline Coq de Leon feathers provide the glossy, resiliency qualities that mimic the natural and allow the dry fly to float for a better performance. Dating back to 1624 Coq de Leon were some of the oldest birds bred for their feathers. Roosters with long, durable, and stiff tailing fibers is recognized as ideal for both dry fly and nymph patterns. Try these on Quilled Spinners. The tailing feathers are speckled throughout and come in three Brown and Black colorations known as Pardo. These high quality Coq de Leon feathers have been hand-selected by Hareline for their superior qualities. 12 feathers per pack.  See Color Chart.
