Description Abstract Blue and Teal Original oil on canvas painting: Width 50cm Height 60cm or 19.5ins x 23.5ins. Signed. Comes with a certificate of authenticity. Abstract Blue and Teal is inspired by the colours found on South Devon and Cornish coastline. It shows intertwining free-flowing wave patterns in several shades of blue, teal and white, one of my favourite colour combinations. I like to visit the beaches of Cornwall and North Devon and watch and sketch the surfers there. A particular favourite beach of mine is Perranporth which has a large sandy beach and is well known for its surf. I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art in 2008 at the University of Plymouth. I like to work in oils because of their versatility. You can layer the paint so that it has a translucency. Also It is so robust a medium I can scrape the paint back or scratch into it too. I have exhibited my paintings throughout Devon and I gained an award at the Exeter Short Film festival. My films and photographs have been exhibited on the South Bank, London and in Italy. I am a Brixham based artist and a member of the Devon Artist Network. Also I am an Ambassador Artist for the English Riviera UNESCO Global Geopark. Here is a link to my Collector Guarantee.
